GET to know us
Jami grew up in Gillette, Wyoming, where she was active in basketball and the marching band. Although she was told she wasn’t good enough to play volleyball in school, that didn’t stop her. Her love for the game blossomed after moving to Sheridan, where she began playing through the local rec district—and she hasn’t stopped since. Whether it’s winter leagues, summer grass league, or traveling for competitions, Jami is always on the court. She’s even taken private lessons to sharpen her skills as a setter.
With three years of coaching experience, Jami brings not only technical knowledge but also a deep commitment to her athletes. Her coaching philosophy is rooted in empathy and empowerment. After witnessing her own daughter lose her passion for volleyball due to a negative coaching experience, Jami made the decision to step up and make a difference. She began coaching to ensure that young athletes feel supported, inspired, and never lose their love for the game.
Outside of volleyball, Jami enjoys spending time outdoors—camping, fishing, hiking—and curling up with a good book or enjoying quality time with her family.
As we head into the new season, Jami is excited to build meaningful relationships with the athletes who take a leap of faith with FVC. Her goal is to foster growth, confidence, and a lifelong love for volleyball in every player she coaches.

Co-Director
Having grown up in Wheatland, Wyoming, Meghan lived in Aberdeen, SD, Laramie, and Cody, WY before finally calling Sheridan home in 2018. She played basketball and volleyball in school and participated in Wheatland’s AAU volleyball program. Aside from her 2 years of coaching experience, she enjoys reading, crocheting, working on house projects, spending time with family, and of course playing volleyball!
Meghan understood the value of being a part of a community at a young age and is looking forward to building that with FVC. She is excited to create an environment that fosters accountability and also encourages each athlete to practice confidence and advocate for themselves. Her favorite part of coaching is watching players embrace their roles and learn to be great teammates.
She is looking forward to this upcoming season and can’t wait to meet the new members of Fortitude Volleyball Club!
